Beyond: Changing Tide is a video game released in 2022. This is an adventure puzzle game produced by Okomotive and published by Frontier Foundry. The game is a follow-up to another game released in 2018 called Far: Lone Sails. It can be played on Windows computers, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S. These include developers such as Okomotive and director Don Schmocker, as well as others such as Goran Saric, Philipp Stern and Joel Schoch. It is built using the Unity engine and can be played alone.

Tides of Change walkthrough
Welcome to the FAR: Changing Tide walkthrough! This guide will help you step through the entire game. In Far and Away: Changing Tides, you are a child living in a world covered by water. You will solve puzzles and explore to survive. It’s a side-scrolling game, kind of like Limbo and Inside.

1. Release the container
You start on the boat. Follow the path to learn the controls. There is a lever that releases the container. Pull it to get started.
2. The Sawmill Mystery
You will arrive at the sawmill. There are logs blocking your way. Use levers and pulleys to move them and clear the way.
3. The mystery of the train station
The next stop is the train station. You need to repair the train tracks. Use the switches to guide the train and repair any broken track.
4. Silo clogged
There is a blockage at the silo. Solve puzzles to clear the path. Keep an eye on switches and valves.
5. Encountered a shipwreck

Tides gameplay
Like Lone Sails, Changing Tides is a game where you pilot a large ship in a post-apocalyptic world. There’s no combat in the game, but you can steer, sail, solve puzzles, and collect what you need. As you play the game, you upgrade your ship with a steam engine, which you must keep running by burning fuel and cooling it with water to avoid overheating.
Later, the ship can even transform into a submarine, giving you new ways to explore. If something goes wrong, your ship may be damaged or slowed down, but it’s not “game over.” You have to use what you find to repair it, sometimes solving puzzles on the ship to clear the way.
