The Tomb of the Heroes of Golmere is a special place in the Elden Ring, located in the region of Gelmere Mountain. This is an optional place, but if you explore it you’ll find treasures and face a tricky mini-boss. You’ll encounter enemies such as skeletons and hound knights. In addition, there is a big boss called Champion Red Wolf. Defeating them may net you cool stuff like special armor and weapons.

To get to this place, start from Volcano Manor and head south near the First Gemmel Mountain Campground. Or you can go from the Hermitage Village to the site of the original wizard Azure Grace.

Guide to the Tomb of the Heroes of Golmir

The Hero Tomb of Gelmir in Elden Ring is a little tricky, so let’s go step by step.

1. begin descending:

   • After passing the Place of Grace, go down the stairs on the left.
   • When you reach the bottom of the second level, you’ll find a path with flowing lava. This is a bit like another place you may have seen called the “Tomb of Marginal National Heroes.”

2. To deal with tanks:

   • As you walk down this lava path, a large chariot rises from the bottom.
   • Hide in the alcove to avoid the chariot. Watch out for skulls and grave violets.

3. Tricky jumps:

   • Sprint along the last section of the track, then run-jump across the lava to reach the debris-strewn path to the left.
   • Get a Graveyard Glove Plant here.

4. Ambush in the room:

   • Enter the room and prepare yourself for a surprise attack by the attendants.
   • Deal with the undead soldiers in the room and collect the Graveyard Glove Plant.

5. Traveling through the fire corridor:

   • Go up the stairs and deal with the fire-breathing enemy near the corridor.
   • Sneak up next to the swordsman and hit the flame-generating pillar on time to stop it.
   • Choose between two paths: east or south.

6. Explore the room:

   • In the room to the south, defeat the undead soldier, Pegis, and get the golden rune from the corpse.
   • If you go south from the passage, beware of another chariot track. Timing is key. You can find a Stone Sword Key at the end.

7. Navigation ramp:

   • Go down the slope, avoiding the skeletons and a tricky section where you need to drop down to a lower ledge. Remove the smoldering butterfly from the carcass.

8. Against the Bloodhound Knight:

   • Go through a small tunnel to find the Bloodhound Knight.
   • Defeat the knights to obtain the armor sets – Bloodhound Knight and Gelmir Knight.
   • Climb the ladder and collect the Root Resin.

9. Climbing a wooden beam:

   • Climb the ladder and cross the wooden beams, avoiding the chariot tracks.
   • Collect the Grave Violet and face the Grave Shadow, which drops the Mantis Blade.

10. Rolling down a lava slope:

    • Return to the first slope.
    • Don’t jump to the left, but keep rolling down the rest of the slope through the lava. Don’t worry; the chariot won’t follow.

11. Discover a secret room:

    • Turn left and enter a room with a Grave Violet Plant and a chest containing a Ring Weapon.

12. Go through the lava to reach the alcove:

    • Go back and find an alcove in the left corner opposite the lava with a Graveyard Glove Plant growing inside.

13. Scroll down and continue:

    • Roll over, collect the plant, and drop along the gap in the back wall to the platform, then drop again near the double doors.
    • Obtain a Graveyard Glove Plant and a corpse with animal blood.

14. Preparing for the boss battle:

    • Open the door and enter a larger room with stairs leading down. Be prepared; a boss battle is coming.

15. Boss Battle – Champion Red Wolf:

    • Face the powerful boss-Champion Red Wolf. It’s fast and can switch between long-range and close-range attacks.
    • Watch out for its flaming sword and homing missiles.
    • Defeating the boss will earn you the Bloodhound Knight Flo Ashes, and there is a chest in the arena containing the Deathroot.
