First and foremost, some housekeeping. Our Overwatch 2 tier list isn’t broken down into specific roles, but each tier has a hero that represents each role. S-tier heroes are at the pinnacle of the game meta and don’t require a specific team composition or strategy to dominate. A-Class options are not necessarily worse than their S-Class counterparts, but they are generally more difficult to use and maximize. Tiers B, C, and D follow suit and represent the lower tiers in Overwatch 2.

Overwatch 2 Season 3 Mythic Skins
As with previous seasons, the Overwatch 2 Battle Pass will get a new look as part of the release of Overwatch 2 Season 3, with a host of new skins, emotes, and voice lines. Kiriko features prominently in the official Season 3 trailer, so it’s no surprise that a new mythic skin for the damage-dealing support hero has been confirmed. Amaterasu Kiriko Myth skin can be seen on Twitter and in the Hero Gallery. We’ve also received confirmation that the rumored Cupid Hanzo legendary skin will be releasing on Valentine’s Day, so start saving up now.
Overwatch 2 Season 3 Workshop
Longtime fans of Overwatch’s custom game modes will be happy to know that the Workshop is making a triumphant return in Overwatch 2 Season 3. In an interview with Overwatch 2 content creator SVB, Business Director and Vice President Jon Spector, and Executive Producer Jared Neuss in Overwatch 1″, the Workshop is a popular tool that allows players to create their own custom game modes and scripts and share them with other players through Workshop codes. This new version of the workshop includes a suite of auditing and reporting tools designed to keep the community around these unique and popular scripting tools active and healthy for the sequel.
Overwatch 2 Season 3 Map
With no new heroes arriving this season, we should focus on the upcoming Overwatch 2 map, which will be the centerpiece of Overwatch 2 Season 3 content. The Antarctic Peninsula is the latest addition to the Control map, featuring sparkling ice caves, free-roaming penguins, and icebreakers. While we don’t yet know the full map structure of the Antarctic Peninsula, including chokepoints and objective areas, PCGamesN’s interview with level designer Trey Spisak gives us some insight into how the game will play out.
